Now Accepting Nominations For The NMGC Executive Board!

Calling all of our member orgs! We are now accepting nominations for the the NMGC Executive Board!

**Please Note: Nominations Close on April 26th**

Per our ByLaws, “Nominations for Elected Officers shall be held every other year at least three (3) months prior to the elections for such positions. All Elected Officers shall be elected during the Annual Conference every other year.”

Please use the form below to submit your nominations. In your submission, please include an email address for the individuals nominated. Descriptions of each position’s duties, per our ByLaws, can be found below in the form.

Below is the proposed timeline for this year’s elections:

March 25 – April 26: Nominations Period

April 26: Nominations Closed (11:59 PM Central)
May 4: Nominations Announced
May 6-8: Accept/Decline Period
May 13: Candidates Announced
May 24: Bids Due

June 8: Elections (at 2024 Annual Conference, June 7-9. Candidates will be able to join virtually to deliver their speech and participate in Q&A)
The positions up for election for the 2024-2026 term are:
*PR Coordinator,
*Treasurer,
*Secretary, and
*President

Eligibility requirements per our ByLaws include:

“A. In order to be eligible for an elected or appointed office of the Executive Board or to be eligible for election as a Regional Director, an individual must:

(i) be in good standing with his or her respective Member organization;

(ii) belong to a Member that is in good standing with the Council;

(iii) have at least two (2) years experience in a field related to the office sought to be held; and

(iv) be a graduate and/or alumni member of his or her respective Member organization.

“B. In addition to the requirements set forth above in Article VII, Section 9.A, any candidate for the offices of President or Vice-President shall also be required to have prior experience as a Member Representative, Regional Director or committee member of the Council for a period of no less than one (1) year.”
